Default What happened to . . .?

I posted a zip to a thread earlier and it has now disappeared? Any idea why the thread went?

Please tell me by PM if possible.

Thanks

Quite a few times my posts disappeared after a few days or even weeks. I suppose that somebody objected to them, or asked them to be taken down for whatever reason (I do try to follow the rules, though). I realize the mods are busy and acting in good faith, and don't want to waste their time explaining why they did something, so I quit bothering them to ask why.

But it would be cool if there were something like an automatic message that could just give a short reason, such as, your post was removed because 1) it broke rule XXX 2) someone asked it to be 3) it was just generally shit...etc.

If you would ever like to know why post(s) were removed, please don't hesitate to PM us, at any time. It's really not wasting our time or a bother to us, that's why we're here.

What would be time consuming would be to manually message people for every post, photo, album, social group, etc. that was removed or edited. There's just so many that we deal with in a day. While I agree an automatic message would be helpful, I don't think that's something the forum software supports right now.

Thanks,
Slick

Default Generally shit?

As much as we might want to, we don't remove posts for that!
Unless you were referring to Rule 10?

I'll try to avoid rule 10 for my sanity and your

No, the last one that got removed (from the University girls thread) was not shit, in my humble opinion, but one of my greater achievements, finding a famous selfer chick in her university colours...maybe it was that it would be too easy to identify her from what I posted (you could see her sorority as well as her Uni)? Probably shouldn't have given her first name either, but I thought that was ok, though all-in-all, yeah, it was probably TMI. Which I guess was why it was removed.

Well I have faith that you do your mod work in good faith (and for no personal profit) so no need to justify yourselfs
