I guess that the level of nudity that my family and my wife's family have experienced is not very common. Over the years we have found only about 4 others who had similar nudist family experiences. Most of the other nudists that we know are recent converts and no other members of their families know that they enjoy home and social nudity.

Both of our families have been practicing fulltime nudist families since the 1950s. And we still are. Our parents had found the positive values and benefits of family and social nudism and felt that this lifestyle would teach us self confidence, to be nonjudgmental, and to respect others for who they were and not for what they had.

At home nudity was never mandatory but it was the norm. We did everything together as a nude family, including everyday activities like chores, homework, dinner or just relaxing. Depending on weather or visitors, there were times when no one was nude and times when some or all of us were nude.

Both of our houses were situated such that most of the property was not visible from the street and we could be nude anywhere inside and out. Both had a patio and a pool, perfect for outdoor clothes free living and entertaining.

Our parents went to great lengths to befriend nudist families and regular visits to the local nudist camps provided a good opportunity for that. We did attended the typical work, school and other textile related social functions fully clothed, but for the most part our social friends were other nudist families. And over the years we had many memorable nude birthday, graduation, Easter, dinners, wedding, and anniversary parties at our home and at our friends' homes. For all of these events nudity was not required but with very few exceptions almost everyone usually was.

I will say I'm jealous. Once I'm out of college and living on my own I would love to look at the groups in my area and see if I can become friends with any families like you know in this day and age. Doubly so when I have a spouse!

For a number of years during my first marriage, we were "full-time" home-nudists (I started it). That meant we took off our clothes the moment we walked through the front door; and didn't put them back on until the next day right before leaving. There were also trips to the nudist resort; and we'd end up being naked for days (minus being dressed to drive there).

It was fun. And relaxing. The only issue is finding a gal (or guy) who can be on board with it. And that can take a LOT of work.
