My wife and I used to swim laps at a fitness pool after work and fortunately there was often a local college swim team practicing in a few lanes there while we were there. It is rare for me to see people naked in a communal shower (even men) in our country. I'm a bit relax on nudity so I often suprised women when they see me naked in communal showers (usually butt only).

In the US, mostly at nudist resorts.

At one resort I visited, the showers were arranged in a semi-circle. Some people would actually face each other to chat while soaping up. Communal showers here in the Philippines are rare and most locals don't see or use it the same as what others have told in this thread. I have seen them mostly on resorts that is secluded or atleast far from the areas of tourist spot beaches. Even if you see one on areas that is populated with tourist or atleast a hot spot, it will be occupied or become exclusive for women. Losing the sense of communal.
