I suspect my wife has similar memories but always claims not to remember until she randomly comes up with a specific detail - the latest one being how sweaty her friend's little brother was and how surprisingly small his OK was.

Mine very much the same. At first she was more hidden with details and number, including how many while we had been broken up for a couple years.
