Here's a nice find for anyone who- like me- was charmed by the in ride interview with this Brighton wrestling mask girl; I recently chanced upon a photo with her in the background, taking a breather from the mask.

Just a chance find really- always nice to discover someone's as pretty as you thought they might be, behind the mask

Funk Dooby is hard at work on Flickr uploading 'outtakes' from London and Brighton coverage 2013-2015 in an album called "Unpublished files, volume 2". Over 1100 images to date. Respect!

Thanks for that; it should be noted, though, that the 1196 posted (so far) this month include 2009-15 (with the exception of '12), e.g. the '11 below, as well as one set of the Zoo Streak for Tigers...

I noticed that set last week (it's now down, unfortunately) and had a question that someone who knows the nuts and bolts of flickr might be able to answer.

Anyway, many of those photos are clearly duplicates of images posted on flickr in the past, down to the same image metadata, but they have different flickr IDs. Especially with images that are a few years old and have been posted many places it can be a challenge to track down if a picture is an original by that photographer or a repost. Any suggestions on how to do this?

A) Most (but perhaps not all) back up now, with some additions in January
B) If the purely numerical portion of the flickr filename is lower in one case, it's older than one with higher-number filename (though of course, a third one with an even-lower-number filename may have existed and subsequently been deleted or made private)
C) The one with biggest size (assuming it hasn't been blown up a la what was once called "digital zoom" - if that's been done, quality will be significantly worse in the larger versions) is usually older
