This was before we had a digital camera. We were away at a hotel, and I surprised her by taking a couple of photos after she got out of the shower. She posed although everything was covered.

Later that morning we went to a museum with many buildinggs and acres of grounds to walk through. It turns out that we got there about an hour before the opening, but found that the gate was open. We figured that meant we were allowed to wander the grounds. During this time, we were taking more pics (normal everyday shots) and finished the roll. I put the roll in the camera bag, but didn't fully zip it. Well anyway a short time later a security guard comes up and informs us that the museum isn't open and asks us to leave. It turns out that the gate was open for a quilting show that was happening in the main building, but the rest of the grounds were closed. As were leaving we noticed that the camera bag was open and the roll of film was missing. My wife was of course a little nervous about this. We hung around until opening, bought our tickets, and as quickly as possible retraced our steps, eventually finding the roll lying in the grass.

The shot with here covered was taken at the hotel. The other photos was taken later that same summer.

Before we were married I wandered into the bathroom when she was taking a bath and took a few pictures. She didn't protest too much. This was back in the mid 1970s. They were Kodachrome slides. Unfortunately the quality isn't the best because these are pictures I took of a slide projector screen. Unfortunately I don't have the original slides anymore.

While we were still dating, Linda was finishing her degree at a university about 50 miles from where I was working. We managed to get together every 2 to 3 weekends. At that time she was living in a women’s dorm with a roommate. The roommate actually lived in that city but wanted to be closer to campus and away from her parents. Most weekends her roommate stayed with her boyfriend and wasn’t around. I’d sneak up the back stairs and she’d let me in to stay in her room. There always were a few guys in the girls rooms almost every weekend.

My work involved a lot of photo documentation so we had our own darkroom to process b/w film. We could process our personal photos after hours. They would also furnish us with 35mm film, chemicals and print paper at no cost. They figured we would sharpen our processing skills practicing on our own photos.

I had a cheap 35mm camera and had dreamed of getting some nude shots of Linda for quite some time. She wasn’t too enamored with the idea from the beginning; she couldn’t imagine why I would want to take naked photos of her, she was embarrassed, and definitely didn’t want anyone else to see them.

Finally I convinced her to pose for me one night when I was staying in her room. It was pretty common for her to be completely naked while we lounged around so when I pulled out my camera and asked her, I think she just gave in and said okay. I shot using only available light; I didn’t want the flash to attract any attention. I only took a few pictures; I was so excited that after a few we ended up fucking like a couple of rabbits. Even though she was embarrassed, it turned her on posing for the camera, she was a natural.

I couldn’t wait to get back to the lab and see how they turned out. The subject was beautiful; the photographer had a lot to learn. By the end of the week, I’d shared her photos with a small circle of friends who were also taking pictures of their wives/girlfriends. None of the women knew at the time that we were sharing.
