The photo was taken at the 2001 Mardi Gras celebration in Seattle. The festivities degenerated into a riot in which a man was killed. The photographer was Mike Urban of the Seattle-Post Intelligencer.

Why slam the hell out of someone. If it's not what I like then I pass by it. There are many different tastes around the world, and thank god for that because I would truly hate it if everyone only liked the things that I do. Diversity is great.
