I saw in anther thread that someone was looking for a Mac program for identifying duplicate pics. I've used Pixcompare for some time on my older Mac (10.2) and it works fairly well. I just upgraded to 10.5 and haven't tried the newer version yet, but you can find it here:

Okay, I tried the new version and it's much better than the older one. It went through a folder of 1,500 pics in about twenty seconds. Then it gave me a list of possible sets of dupes with thumbnails of each pic for visual comparison, and the option of dumping either them in the trash right there. I'd recommend it.

works pretty well. I mean, never having owned one of these, I can't complain. It did what I wanted it to do.
Now I can finally clean up my naturist pic files. Been waiting years... Klondike |
