Default bmp files question

I recently came across some pics that are in bmp format.

OCC does not support this file type to upload.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to convert this format to post on OCC?

Thanks
osreb

What picture viewer do you use? Most give the option to 'save as' a different file type. Irfanview does that and it also gives the option of batch converting which can save some time.

the default pic viewer with windows XP also have the option to save an open BMP as a jpg, however, it does compress the file all that much.

If the picture you are trying to save, is jpg BUT saves as bmp, and you are using internet explorer,, that can happen because your tempary internet files are full to their limit. Try emptying out all your tempary internet files OR try using forefox browser.
