Ill make this quick and real simple for everyone. First if you don't have and use firefox browser then get and please use it thats my first bit of advice, the next step is go to the mozilla site and then to their extentions sections. You need to dl the ext. called video-downloader. You can do a search for it via their site, this is a great little program created for the exact purpose of what you asked about and I might add works very well with a great number of those type of sites! Another program I would also advice all to try is one called download-helper, this is more complex but it can search the site that you are at and then dl media for you that is embedded or as flash media or if your lazy like me and don't want to have to save each single file sometimes and just want to make things simple!

Should you wish to convert said FLV file into an Mpeg or AVI then get yourself Riva FLV encoder.
This allows you to convert the files into AVI or Mpeg. |

You don't have to go through all that, just install a free version of Real Player, It invites you to download any format.

... go here ...
http://keepvid.com/ Enter the URL of the Youtube video and you save the "HQ" version ... There is a good 'Free' .FLV converter out there too, (havn't got the URL to hand), but HAVE tried both and they "do the job" OK ![]() /On "KeepVid", if the YouTube URL is, say .... uk.Youtube.com/..... you must DELETE the uk. part before copying the link into KeepVid.... EDIT ... OK, I see Mr. Fango has already mentioned KeepVid, but the .FLV files converter is at ... http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html ... I have an "Earlier" version ... V5.2 or summat ... so have NOT tried the download currently on the site, V6.7 ... Last edited by OldFartsFavourites; 09-28-2009 at 09:29 AM. Reason: Correction !! |
