Default firefox and OCC

i went through the last 4 pages and didn't see anything about ff or anything, so i thought i'd post something.

how many of you guys use firefox as your main browser? i've been using it for quite some time, but just recently after downloading the firefox update (1.5), when I try to upload a zip file, or anything really, it takes longer than normal and a pop up comes up asking if i want to stop the script or continue. continuing does no good, it just ends in a crash, so i have to stop it and sometimes it doesn't fully upload.

i know it's not just OCC because uploading in yahoo mail ends up the same.

anyone know a fix for this?

thanks.

I have been using it for quite some time as well, actually, I think all of my OCC time and don't remember any such error with OCC afilliated pages. I would however, recommend picking up the newest update. I'm currently running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 according to the "about" section of the help anyway.

i think you need an update:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1

I never had the problem until i updated.

Hmm. I've been updating 1.0.x often, never went to pick up a whole new build though. Dunno if I will or not since it seems 1.5 has issues with OCC

Well I did go and get 1.5, dunno why I hadn't before. Anyway it did seem to take longer than it should have but then again, insight cable gets picky on me. However, I did NOT get any pop up and script warning. I'm going to try a few more test uploads but right now I'm thinking the install wasn't clean for one reason or another when you upgraded.

Well I did some significant upload tests in the testing forum...and nothing. Other than maybe a bit slow, I had no issues. If you are still getting the errors than I'd suggest a full uninstall then reinstall of Firefox.

I've been using Firefox exclusively since it was beta, have all the latest updates.
It has been seamless for me with no speed issues that I have noticed.
