Grew up with many old movies and Tv shows so my fantasy women were movie starlets of the 60s Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren, Elke Sommer, Marilyn Monroe, Bardot and many others. Tv characters like Ginger (Tina Louise) and Maryann (dawn wells), Duke's Catherine Bach, Loni Anderson etc
I would have spent many dollars or sold my soul to see these women naked. Some went on to do some/bits nudity in movies as careers wore on or popularity changed but many remained elusive. Recently it dawned on me that the general younger than me person didnt find my interests in these women as interesting. At first I was appalled at their lack of good taste but then finally struck me... I'm old..The analogy I came up with was why drive a 1960s Mustang/Muscle Car when you can get much more powerful, luxurious and modern Mustang/Muscle car which does everything better. Younger people don't need those fantasy women of old because they got one/plenty who does/shows more and more often....... in HD |

But wasn't the elusive nature of their nudity what made it so exciting?
You had that "film crush", you fantasized, you saw a bit but not everything and you hoped and prayed that the actress would take a role with nudity. As you say, today it's all just out there in HD. How is that exciting? For the life of be I cannot understand the attraction of these girls on OF who just 'give it all away'. But hey, I guess I'm just old-fashioned... |

I was a teenager in the 1970s. I was probably sixteen before I knew what women looked like naked when I managed to buy my first copy of Mayfair magazine. These days it is very different. I think on the whole we live in more enlightened times now but the Incel movement is worrying.

All sounds very recognisable.
I was born mid 70-ties and I must admit, the 80-ties were much more erotic and sensual than the current days. Reasons: - Nudity and sex was less available. No internet, no 24/7 availability But that also means that people needed less visible skin and more implicit nudity to get turned on or to seduce one another. - How fun it was to get hold of a Playboy or other erotic magazine and watch all the pics with some buddies. Some might even remember a circle jerk. - While living in Europe, when going on holiday, the beach was a real treat. Topless and nude people were plenty around. So while being deprived of nudity (besides some siblings) throughout the year, people seemed to be all in (or out) while on holiday. I've seen family and friends (both parents and children) go topless and even naked on the beach and dunes who the rest of the year acted and dressed like total prudes. But then again, we got to see the real thing ... up close ... in all sizes and shapes ... and sometimes even had a cup a feel ... while lots nowadays get no further than looking at a screen. Back to the present. My wife and I always raised or kids pretty open. Nudity was/is no taboo. We frequent nude beaches and sauna centers on occasion. Also her sister and her family raised their kids that way. Meaning that we all have seen each other naked, they have seen their cousin and niece, uncle and aunt naked on many occasions and vice versa. My wife's nephew even had an "accidental" cup-a-feel once while on a waterslide during a nude swim. Conclusion of it all : it's not the availability of nudity that is important, it's the way were raised with it. Open versus taboo and secrecy. Nice example: when my wife wears a bikini on a beach, people (guys) keep on staring, hoping to see an inch more skin or a nipple slip. When she goes topless or naked, people have 1 (long) look and then move on. My guess is that the (small) bikini look is much more erotic than the topless/nude look.

I think this is another way of saying “forbidden fruit”. It was much harder in those days to see nudity so it was much more exciting as well.

My friends and I would take every opportunity to get our hands on girlie magazines , even steal them from our dads. We also spent a lot of time sleeping out during the summer and trying to peep in people's windows. I'm talking late sixties , early to mid seventies.
