What happened at the Dr Appt?

Ok, so my wife went and saw her primary care doctor about two weeks ago. Nothing special, just her yearly examination. And this is her primary care doc, not gynecologist or any other specialty.

The doctor is mid 50's nice guy but rather dry personality. My wife is in her mid 30s and has been a patient for a few years and really likes her doctor. She never says much about her doctor visits and I never pushed her for details. I know my yearly exams are pretty basic. The only thing she ever told me was that he gave her a breast exam when she first became a patient of his.

My wife and her best friend are having a drink and talking. I over hear that my wife is telling her friend about her doctor's visit. I don't hear any details, I just hear "oh I don't tell him about that" referring to me and they both start giggling.

Now Im super curious to know what they were talking about. My wife isnt one to hold out on me, so it must be something she is embarrassed about. Any doctors s or ladies have any ideas?

Probably just a full exam that she doesn't tell you details about because 1) You will ask follow-up questions in search for something exciting when there isn't anything exciting and she doesn't want to be annoyed; 2) Thinking you will get jealous.

Just ask her. I ask my wife stuff all the time, especially if I overhear her saying something, but then again, we keep 0% of anything from each other.

Yeah just ask. My wife used to go for her checkups and I'd be jealous as all hell thinking of her showing all her parts to her doc and him staring at them. Ive tried bringing it up, but she just brushes me off. She is very vague and wont really tell me anything so of course I'm very curious now.

This was just a yearly physical at her primary care doctor. I expect a more intimate exam at her gynecologist or a specialist.

What does an average annual physical entail? I can only speak for myself, but the hernia check is the only thing that would be somewhat embarrassing.

My wife had always had a female gyn, but in one city we lived in, the only gyn was a male. She was nervous, but she said she actually got really wet before he even did anything.
