i had some pics up...but appearently "someone" did'nt like them and had them removed...thats fuckin hardcore man...

no, hardcore is some lawyer from someplace you've never heard of threatening to sue your ass because you hosted some photos that obviously belonged to someone else and you didn't bother to think about it and now your hobby website is threatening your ability to own a house, in this lifetime or any other.

that's not harsh, that's reality. this place continues to exist because the forum mods keep this board darn clean. the legal reality is that if someone else has put up photos to make money from them, you don't repost them without permission. there are lots of gray areas - thank god for that, it's called freedom of speech - but there are lots that are black and white.

bottom line: no photos with watermarks or urls or anything that says "i am copyrighted". no nudity involving minors. house rules prevent other things (eg shit) that are legal, but which they choose not to host

this forum is still here because the moderators have been extremely consistent in applying the rules within the limits of their abilities, and choosing caution when the situation is questionable (e.g. "psycho girl") and its got tons of great stuff i dare anyone (except norman bates and a few other champion posters) to find anywhere else.

be welcome, just don't piss in the wishing well, eh?

i'm not a lawyer, i'm not a mod, i just appreciate the stuff i find here.
