Women hitting on/flirting with older or married men

When I would younger, I never was really unable to pickup a girl but I had to work at it and it was usually me doing the work. It seems like I have gotten hit on/flirted with way more now that I am married and a little older. I am 39, and in great shape physically (comes from being a firefighter and rancher) but I consider myself to be average looking. I am starting to have a little bit of white hair in my temples and a bit of widow's peak. Sometimes I am kind of oblivious and my wife points mild flirting out to me. Other times when she is not there I notice it and I flirt back though never do anything physical.

What made me decide to post this is something that happened today. I have been moving cattle to some of our high mountain summer pasture. I stopped in a little mountain town (really not even a town... just a few business and houses) to grab a burger and fries for lunch at a small café/diner. This little "town" apparently doesn't care about the social distance stuff because I was able to grab a stool up at the front counter and eat there which is the first time I have done something like that in around six months. Anyway, the waitress was probably about 23-25 with a slim athletic build, brown hair and the cutest face and green eyes. Anyway, there was only one other couple in there having lunch at a table and she came over and started talking to me. She was overly friendly and kind of flirty though no real innuendos or anything like that. I stayed a little longer than I would have because I was enjoying myself. When I finally said I had to get on the road and paid she winked when she handed me the receipt. I turned did not notice until I went to put it in the center console of my truck that she had written her phone number and "call me" on the back.

This is a more blatant example than usual but I definitely seem to be more attractive to women (younger, my age, and even a little older) now than I used to be when I was younger. Has anyone else noticed a similar phenomenon? Any fun stories? Mine is kind of mild but it is about the most exciting I have to tell on this topic without making something up.

I was at an out-of-town tech show where Microsoft was rolling out new products when I heard a voice say "Mr. Piecenick", I turned to see one of my daughter's best friends from high school, Amy. I don't think I had seen her since she had braces, but that was a long time ago and she had certainly turned into a beautiful young lady. We did some shop talk, she was with a large company, I just had my small firm with a handful of techs. Then she invited me to go to dinner with her group, "it's lavish and my company is paying" she said.

I went back to my hotel and then met them at the restaurant for dinner. Amy sat next to me, there was a lot of tech talk, of course most of the techs were guys, Amy and one other were the only females at the table. I could tell that half the guys there had a crush on Amy, she introduced me as the father of a HS friend and that she had a major crush on me since she was 14. That embarrassed me a bit, but then Amy's hands started wandering under the table, of course I didn't stop her, but if I had to get up I might have knocked the table over.

When the dinner was over and people were going to their room, Amy lagged behind (everyone but me had rooms in the hotel the restaurant was in), she whispered, give me 10 minutes then you can come to my room for a nightcap. The bad news is that told her that wouldn't be a good idea, I had to go back to my room and kick myself for a while for turning her down. I've just been married too long.

Kinda like the OP, I didn't have luck picking up women, but did ok with those who got to know me. My wife says I'm like Sean Connery, I got better looking as I aged, but not as good looking as Sean Connery! Anyway, we have a friend who is about 15 years younger than us, in her mid-30s. She has pretty much come out and said if anything happens to my wife she wants to be next. She has also said something a couple of times about being a "sister-wife"! My wife would never go for that though. There have been a few other minor hints from some women, but nothing like getting a number on a receipt!
