What do you mean 'a whiteboard'? Pretty sure we haven't got any here.

I've never used it myself, but can't you just check the box by the person you want to talk to, then click on their name.
That takes you to their profile page and you can reply in their visitor message box.
I could be wrong though.

Default Edit Options

Under the quick links tab, there are options for private and public messages. If the person you want to leave messages for has this option turned off, then you can't leave messages.

Find "Statistics" on the persons "Public Profile"
ie: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/member.php?u=763378
Click on "Post a visitor message for Dollybabe" (or whoever you want to message)
That should bring up the message box for you to write in.

Just had another thought.
It may be because you're not a full member until you have the required posts and likes.

You simply need to upload over 2 Megabytes of photos, .ZIP or .RAR files AND receive 20 or more "Thanks" for your post(s).
You already have over the 20 "Thanks", but have you uploaded over 2mb of pictures?

Default If it's set to allow public messages

It should look like this. Just place your cursor in the box and start typing. Mine is enabled.
If the box isn't there, it's either disabled by the member, or like Turtle said, you need to post more to become a full member.
