Default Mardi Gras

I apologize for the somewhat deceiving title, but we've lost our city of New Orleans.

I am one of the lucky ones that had friends in north louisiana to shelter me, but there are tens of thousands of others that are not as fortunate as me. I am not asking for donations for myself because I, quite frankly, do not need the help. Instead, I am asking for donations for the tens of thousands of displaced Americans. With the help of the citizens of the US, New Orleans has a chance of being reborn from this tragedy.

Sorry for the buzz kill guys, but I just cannot idly sit back and watch my city be destroyed. If you can help here is the link for the red cross: https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation-form.asp

Default Just some info

I live in North Carolina and one of our local radio stations morning programs called The Ace & TJ morning show (they are a syndicated show.) They started Monday around none with a Dis rel effort and as of 10:30 PM on my way home from work tonight Wed. they said they have filled up 14 semi trailers with water, food, and everything imaginable and are sending them on thier way in the AM with still lots of stuff to go on even more trailers. Also the cash raised from the Charlotte and surrounding areas from Monday till this evening was $130,755. People do care. Hope you find fortune in the fact that you survived.

South Louisiana and south mississippi need all the help they can get. It is unfortunate that this thread got moved to the least visited section, the site feedback and support forum. I understand that it is a little off the beaten path of amateur porn, but given the circumstances an off topic post regarding relief efforts for a portion of the U.S. that looks like Sri Lanka after the tsunami seems justified.

Alex, will you please sticky a message in each forum that provides our members with links for the relief effort. Seeing that I would assume that all of us love the female body, we have a vested interest in rebuilding New Orleans.

Thanks.

Thanks man. You know it is not just money donations that are needed. Instead there are many things that you can do by just volunteering your time. For example, I unfortunately do not have money to donate due to a wife that does not work and a 2 year old son. Instead I have volunteered at my local evacuation shelter by adopting a family's dirty laundry. That's right, we are washing a family's dirty clothes until they are able to return home or find a new home.

Just contact your local red cross and tell them that you want to help, but do not have disposable money to donate. They need help.

Cajun, this is not a bad post, and all be it a less viewed section, the few of us who do view it feel the pain of our neighbors. I live a safe way away in GA but we are also doing are best here to help with relief for our southern neighbors, for example our college, where I work as tech support we are offering help to the needy students from the devestated areas with food and shelter and a continued education. This is USA at it's best, but then we've always been like that havent we?!

i wish this was true. some of the comments i've heard from "americans" in my city make me wish i could get away with murder.....i mean i've heard it all from "this is a great tax write off" (said by my father in law) to " i wish i had a hotel, i'd be sitting pretty right now" (someone in my store). i almost lost my temper at that one

then you have these retarded ass celebs saying that bush hates black people....WHERE THE FUCK do you get this stuff. bush nor anyone that i know of said...Ok white people come with me....you black people fend for yourselves. poverty shouldn't even come into play for the fact that our local news crew covered a story of a man who hitched rides from the french quarter to my town....over 8 hours away.

the american way....i wish the american way would help people realise that looting food and water from a grocery store is ok...but looting stereo's and tv's and other non necessities is capatailizing off devistation, not to mention killing anychance of a job market after the rebuild. i mean think about it, you loot from a store, they suffer loss of sellable goods, jobs get cut to cover losses.

my heart goes out to the people stuck there trying to get out but the ones that feel like stealing and killing and fighting...may god have mercy on your soul.

forgive me if i seem tactless...i've just had enough and needed to rant.
