Weird Science (1985) Stripping ENF, Upskirt in 1080p

These are two clips taken from the 30th Anniversary 1080p Blu-Ray version of the 1985 movie Weird Science. While each of these scenes have been posted on this forum before, I've never found them before in this high of a resolution. Both clips come about 50 minutes into the movie, when our heroes Gary and Wyatt try to create a second girl with Wyatt's computer. When they hit "Enter", all sorts of magical chaos occurs throughout the house party, and among them are these two bits:

1) A bathroom starts spinning around, and the girl inside flashes us a nice upskirt as she tumbles up the wall and onto the ceiling. The clip is only about 4 seconds long.

2) A girl playing a piano holds on for dear life as all the furniture, and then her clothes, are sucked out the chimney. The girl is Kym Malin, who was Playboy's Playmate of the Month for May 1982. She apparently did her own stunts, and when she is sliding across the floor after being stripped down to nothing but her panties, the image quality is so good you can actually see the harness on her lower back! This clip lasts a little less than a minute.

And now there's a new Blu-Ray with a 4K scan of the original negative! I have it, and while the resolution is the same, the image is greatly cleaned up and you can see more detail. I'll see if I can post it within the next few days or so.

This scene is so hot that it kick started my puberty back in the day. I love how better technology reveals more detail in the image:

When I watched (and fapped to) this scene on VHS, the image was so bad that I really thought the girl was wearing ankle-high boots.

When I watched (and fapped to) this scene on DVD, the image was better, and I saw that she was actually wearing high heels with ankle stockings.

When I watched (and fapped to) this scene on Blu-Ray, the image was better still, and I saw the lace trim on her panties and the cord pulling her across the floor to the chimney.

Finally, when I watched (and fapped to) this scene on the new 4K scan, the image was so good that I could now see the thin cords pulling off her clothes.

The new Blu-Ray of this movie comes with a copy of the "Revised Final Draft Screenplay", and the attached picture shows the screenplay entry for the piano scene. Even though this is the "final" screenplay, they pretty clearly made further changes while filming.

The original plan was for the Girl Playing Piano to be stripped completely naked. Reading the scene, note how she loses her shoes, her dress, her pantyhose, her bra, and her panties. There's no clothing left to lose at that point!

Why not strip her completely naked in the movie? Probably to keep the film rated PG-13. The actress was a Playboy Playmate just a couple of years earlier, so she isn't exactly shy about showing her muff. Full frontal nudity, however, almost certainly would have guaranteed an R-rating and hurt the box office take. What good would be a movie targeted to teenage boys if only those 17 and over could buy a ticket?

Her outfit is the film is different than in the script, too. Instead of a dress and pantyhose, the girl in the film is wearing a blouse, a skirt, and ankle stockings. This may be a concession to the practical special effects of the time, since its seems like a pair of pantyhose would be too tight to be easily pulled off by the tiny cords you need to keep hidden to make the suction effect work.

In the final cut, we see her lose her skirt and blouse on camera, but she loses her shoes, stockings, and bra all off camera. I wonder if they shot these effects and cut them for time, or if they simply figured the viewers' imaginations would fill in the blanks and therefore didn't bother.

I also liked the details on how a movie plans to include an enf scene in the movie itself (although I don't think they really care about the embarrassment as much). It's cool that you found the info on it, I wish it was easier to find info on these sort of scenes.

For example, in "Inside Man", there's a scene where the men and women are forced to strip to their underwear. The camera pans back & forth to each group, and there's some good shots of the women (some very attractive ones). In the beginning of the line there's an Indian woman, and while you get a good shot of her clothed, there's only a split frame of her in her bra and panties, and in many versions of the movie I saw you really can't even see her (in the pictures here there's a good shot of her). What's curious is that she seems to switch positions in the scenes, as if she didn't want to be seen without her clothes, or maybe it was just random. Unfortunately, I couldn't find her name either, although I've checked the credits a lot.

Anyway this isn't even directly related but at least you could find the info about this scene

Here are those same two scenes, this time grabbed from the new 2019 Blu-Ray, which is a 4K scan of the original 35mm negative. Compare these to the versions blackmass uploaded in 2016. Do you see a difference?

Truthfully, I don't see a noticeable difference with the bathroom scene. I think the lighting and color in the piano scene, however, is much better here. Take note of the 3rd panel down in the left column of the screencap (with the close-up of her panties). Even shrunk 50% from the video, you can still see the wire that will be used next to pull her top off.

Finally, the 2019 Blu-Ray has an interview with one of the three editors of the film. Fortunately, it was the guy who edited the piano scene! It contains part of the piano scene but with no music track. Here's a transcript of his memories of working on it:

"I remember I did do also, the one where all the stuff is flying out the chimney, and there was the girl whose clothes came off, and my first cut was a bit--for lack of a better word--slightly perverted? And John [Hughes, the director] said 'You gotta cut that down, Chris, come on. You gotta. We all are enjoying it, okay? Now, cut it down.'"

This is all I've got for these scenes. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy it.

here is a question if they have the original footage of her loosing all her clothes even if it was not part of the original movie, why not add that footage as a deleted scene or extended scene kind of like in the alternative scenes in the movie version of "The Dukes of Hazzard"

My guess is either they never shot it in the first place or the footage has been lost since the movie was made 35 years ago now.

There are quite a few changes from the "final" screenplay that came with the Blu-Ray and the finished product. My hunch is that the film's producer saw the scene in the script, said "if we do it that way, we'll get an R-rating, and we need this to be PG-13", and then insisted that they rewrite the scene to avoid full nudity. If he did this before they actually shot the scene, then there might have been no footage of full nudity shot at all. Filming a scene that you knew would never make it into the movie, particularly one like this that uses a fair amount of practical special effects that probably aren't cheap, might be too much of a waste of money for the producer to allow the director to go forward with it.

When the editor talks about his original version being "slightly perverted" before being cut down, I wonder what he means. It might simply mean that they had the actress failing around topless a little bit longer, or that they originally showed her shoes, stockings, and bra each coming off. (You only see her skirt and her blouse actually come off of her; all the rest of her clothing gets removed off camera.)

If I had to bet money, I would wager that full nudity for that scene was never shot in the first place, and therefore there is no footage to find.

I hope someone proves me wrong.

A couple of years ago a few people made an animated reenactment of the piano scene using characters from Total Drama Island, with Lindsay being the piano girl. I found the video on Tumblr and posted the link to it back here:
