I've just returned from NYC, and one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip was a trend that seems to be growing n Times Square.
Along with the usual people in costumes asking for tips to have your photo taken with them, are a number of half naked girls in body paint, also asking for tips to have your photo taken with them.
Some of the girls are just in their underwear or bikinis, but most are topless wearing just little thongs.

Don't know why they seem to feel the need to wear bodypaint. New York is one of the few states in the Union that allows women to be topless anywhere a man is.

Then again, there's a clause in that where she can't be engaged in commerce. Accepting tips might fall into that. Eh, what the hell do I know? I've never been to NYC. *shrugs*

The girls were dressed like this last week, so I don't think it's a 4th of July thing. Although there were clearly a bit 'nippy' if you know what I mean, so I suspect they will be taking a break for the winter soon.
