I have a wife has always been extremely shy and not exhibitionist at all. Took me forever to see her naked with the lights on, still gets embarrassed/covers up if she catches me looking after many years of marriage, would never wear a bikini...just one pieces outside, etc. But sometimes she seems to like to exhibit a bit. Walking around house/in backyard with just shirt/thong, leaving doors open at home when she shower/changes even when expecting guests, leaving blinds open as she goes to get towels in other room, etc. None of it major, but still find it curious. I'll relate a couple of stories:

we spent a vacation with friends (husband/wife/kids) and we stayed in a condo together. we had separate bedrooms, theirs down the same hall from ours, but ours had giant mirrors on the wall which if you were walking down the hall and looked in just a little, could see a reflection of the whole room, bed, and the area just outside the bathroom very plainly. And it was a heavily trafficked hallway as you went down it to go to kids rooms, kitchen, patio, etc.

Each night she was walking around bra-less (obvious, boobs shaking underneath, full outline of boobs visible). Seeing as she's made fun of other people for doing this around married couples, I found it interesting she would do that, but still no big deal. Next morning she showers and gets ready for our activities..i walk in our bedroom and the door is wide open. I close it behind me and see that she's standing by the bed with towel around her head, topless, just sliding on her panties, with all her clothes spread on the bed. Knowing her routine, she would have come out of the bathroom , walked around the room (naked with just towel on her head) to the various suitcases picking out what she was going to wear, lay them on the bed, and then get dressed. If the husband had been walking down the hallway at any point of this and looked in the mirror, would have seen her in all her glory without even trying to peak...at some points he wouldn't have even needed the reflection in the mirror. I'm not sure if he did/didn't as I only walked in at the end. I mentioned to her that the door was wide open and she gave a nonchalant "oops!". Next day she's about to get in shower and kids leave the room and the door is wide open and she goes to do it again (I have to close the door, again.) During the trip at least 3-4 times I go in there while she's showering, changing, naked out in the main room, all with the door open and viewable from the mirrors. Now kids were coming in and out and I'm sure that's why it was open, but she would still known it was open (as well as how visible she was to anybody walking by). Again, not sure the husband ever saw it but I have to think he did at some point as many times as you walk down the hall and many times as she did it. In fact one time I rounded the corner as he's walking down the hall and saw his eyes cut in and look at the mirror..but that particular time she wasn't changing...but the fact that he looked made me think he may have caught something like that earlier (or was waiting for it).

Separate from leaving the door open, she also on a couple of occasions opened the curtains while doing this same routine while i was in the room (walking around naked after shower, picking out clothes, changing in the main bedroom). The main patio connected to our bedroom and we spent a lot of time on the patio, so if our friend was out there he would have had a clear view from that angle as well. I think even people from the pool could have seen, depending on the glare.

So here's a woman who wouldn't be caught dead wearing a 2 piece outside, but had no issues being naked/topless with doors/curtains open while another man was wondering around the place. Maybe it's because it's a friend, maybe it's because it's "vacation", I'm not sure. It's not specific to this particular guy though, as I've had similar stories with other friends too. I relate some other stories in following posts.

I think it's about control. They feel that under specific circumstances they can be in control; as far as who sees them, how much, etc...

My GF is the same way. I walk around nude our home all the time; she says she's not into that. Yet, I've caught her walking by the open window completely naked, knowing that from our place people on the street can just see her. When I tell her that she feigns ignorance.

When we were on vacation, she put up a big fuss about visiting the nude beach. Yet, when we went for a walk on the public beach one evening, she chose to just wear a cover-up with no undies. As we waded in the water, she suddenly pulled up her cover-up, revealing her bare ass. She continued walking bottomless even as other people walked by us. I was like "WTF!? She's fussing about going to the nude beach down the strip but I walking around with her ass and vage out?!"

I realized it's about control and being able to choose who sees her naked. At the nude beach everyone can see her nude; and she can't control who looks. But I'm working on it. I'm trying to impart to her that she doesn't need to control who sees her naked. She has agreed to try being really naked in front of everyone when we go back on vacation.

Believe me, I don't begrudge her "flashing." I guess I just want my cake and eat it too!

It's interesting...in that sense my ex-wife and my GF are opposites. My ex just didn't flash much at all. There were a couple of times...but late at night. On the other hand, at the nudist resort or with nudist friends, she went completely naked. When she lounged or walked around or socialized she knew everyone could see her intimately; and she just didn't care. In the real world she was prudish; in the nudist environment she wasn't hiding anything.

I don't want my GF to be like my ex...for many reasons. But somewhere in the middle would be nice!

I had an ex in college who was conservative in almost every way. It was a bit of a wonder that she was up for having sex in fact, but all of her friends were doing it with their bfs so I think she didn't want to feel like she was missing out.

Anyway, unlike my wonderful current lady, this ex was not into exhibitionism in the slightest. With one naughty exception.

The year we were together, I lived with three other guys in a plain, 1970s-era semi-detached house. None of the rooms had en-suites bathrooms. The upstairs floor had four bedrooms and a common bathroom - which was right at the top of the stairs. My bedroom was immediately to the left when you were facing the bathroom door.

Anyway, here's the thing... Like a lot of women I've known, she liked to pop to the bathroom after shagging. Ok, I'll admit it was only about four steps but it was through the open space right at the top of the stairs! My wife mentioned that in the past she’d regularly sunbathed nude with one of her pals on the countryside walk between Cambridge and Grantchester (England, that is) – a route that’s riven with tourists, students and people punting up the river Cam; sunbathed topless as a teenager on family holidays infront of her family, and sunbathed topless on holidays abroad in her younger days.

I went and got drinks and as I returned she undid the wraparound and took it off, giving me a big smile in the process. At last followed a sustained period of toplessness, including us being passed and spoken to the bloke who I’d been discussing the football with in the bar the night before and had been joined by my wife during the conversation. She didn’t bat an eye at revealing her 36Fs to someone we’d got to know - this after years of poolside prudery.
