Seattle Pride/body pride ride
In two days, Seattle will be hosting its 38th annual Pride Parade. I may go up (50-50 at this point), and in looking into it, I discovered some things I didn't know. For example, I knew about the Body Pride Ride, but I didn't know that it was imbedded in the larger Pride Parade. The Body Pride ride is a pretty major nudity event in its own right, especially if the naked proceed to the Seattle Center Fountain for some after parade skinny dipping. My info says that they might if its sunny, but their appearance there is unpredictable regardless of the weather. In any case, there will be other nudity, generally toplessness, associate with this parade. It sounds exciting. There will be "Dykes on Bikes" for example, and other lightly clothed feminists marching. Anything is possible. This is pretty major event up there, and I look forward to giving it a shot.
The Body Pride Ride is like a mini Fremont, with a small (maybe 25) but growing number of riders. Any excuse to get painted up and ride naked I guess. Anyway, pics have been posted here before, and I'll put a few up. Also, I will put up any pics from the larger Pride Parade as well. Hopefully, any future pics will go here, from either the Pride parade or specifically from the Body Pride Ride. And of course, fountain skinny dipping pics are most welcome! some of these might be body pride riders (i.e last pic), but most are not. It would interest me to know what, if any, FULL nudity can be found here outside of the Body Pride Ride..

These pics are from 2011. As you can see, there was a lot of action at the Seattle Center Fountain last year after the parade, both involving body pride riders, and regular pride paraders. Now here is why I started this thread: A guy told me that if it were sunny, you might see after parade nudity at the fountain. Yesterday, the weather forecast was for overcast. But today, they changed it to party cloudy! At the end of the parade, participants all turn up 2nd ave in Seattle and head in the general direction of the fountain which is about four blocks from where the parade ends. It all depends on the weather what happens after that. Do I want to be there? Pray for sun!

I think that there is more to this event than a typical LGBT event - first of all, you get the bonus of the body pride riders which is like importing a bit of the Fremont Parade experience. NOw its a little bit more about nudity. And then after the parade, I notice there is some lingering and posing naked for pics. This is something you are not as apt to see at a typical pride parade. So, add some sun and it could be a blast... klondike
