Pic downloading question

I know how to download pics from Flickr (for example) if the user has disabled downloading of their pics. However, I've run across a different problem. On a certain site (which shall remain nameless), when I right-click and select "Save image as", it doesn't allow me to save the jpg. It lists a gif with a generic name, but doesn't show the pic. The "View source" option doesn't show me the url for the jpg. Can anyone help with this situation? Thanks.
