These shots, sadly are showing the ravages of time. The great yellow father (Kodak - to those younger ones) did warn us of the (lack of) archival quality in their products. Unfortunately, time caught up before technology. I scanned these a few years ago using an Epson 4870/Silverfast and am now starting the difficult task of PS salvage. I post these with the sentiment of "better this than nothing."
Original images recorded with Nikon F/Photomic T using f1.4 50mm Nikor for indoor shots and f4.5/300mm Nikor for beach shots. Film was Kodacolor developed in C-22 except for "couch shot" with was Extachrome HS developed in C-22. Damn, I wish the times had been different -- I could have used Kodachrome II or K64 and braved the censors even 10 years later, but at that time, the film would have been confiscated and I might have had legal trouble (hard to believe today). Anyway, enjoy. |
