Default Sci Fi Convention, "Sigourney Weaver" on stage striptease

Girl in a Ripley costume, re-enacts Sigourney Weaver's famous undressing scene, from; Alien. This could be from a strip club, but I think it's more likely from a Sci Fi convention.

Sigourney Weaver made one Hell of an impression on me in that first Alien movie. This is fun- but the original is still the best! I vote that this is a strip club. Look at the people in the background. It can't be a convention- no one is dressed up like a Klingon or a storm trooper. Also, the room beyond the stage has more of a strip club look to it. I'm not 100 percent sure though. After all, I've never gone to one of those immoral places. (I'm talking about a Sci Fi convention)

Could be. It's true, that audience doesn't look particularly "science fictiony", but the background, alien prop, and tameness of the act, doesn't really suggest a strip club.

Although I tend to agree with you, looking in the background, there are people openly taking pictures of everything. Pretty sure any time that I even motion to bring out a camera in a strip club, they shut me down instantly.

There is a group that does burlesque shows with a sci-fi/comic book theme. I'll try and remember where I've seen them.

Found them. They're called; Cos Play Burlesque. The group plays conventions, dressing (and undressing), as famous sci fi/comic book characters. It's a great idea. They have a website, but it didn't seem to be working when I visited.
