USU police catch students stripping to ride bronze bull

Utah State University police last weekend responded to two reports of nude people atop the school's "Meet the Challenge" bull statue.

Upon arrival, an officer located four women wrapped in towels hiding behind the bull near 1000 North and 800 East. The officer told the individuals they could not be on the statue, "especially naked," according to the police report...

Climbing the statue in the buff has long been a furtive ritual for students seeking the unofficial "Ultimate Aggie" status.

A Facebook group has even been established to network some 35 users who claim the distinction.

The show could have some interesting moments but something like that really needs to be done on an adult channel or as a webcast on the internet. Anyway, lets hope they stick with the blurring instead of those giant black censor blocks.

The organizer of a June 12 naked bike ride protest is heading to federal court on a mission to overturn San Diego's anti-nudity ordinance, saying it doesn’t protect her right to engage in free speech by going without clothes in public.

"We think it's too broad and sweeps all nudity into one big category," said attorney Mitch Wallis, who plans to file a request for an injunction Wednesday on behalf of organizer Sarah Bush. She and others want to use the ride -- and the nudity -- to promote biking and oppose the country's dependence on oil.

The legal brief, which says the nudity ordinance violates the First Amendment, puts Bush's case this way: "The Plaintiff Is Entitled To Strip Naked, Paint Her Body With Political Slogans and Protest Important Public Issues."

Bush, a 20-year-old Grossmont College student, has been publicizing San Diego's World Naked Bike Ride online and through fliers. She became interested in the events after reading about the World Naked Bike Ride in a Cosmopolitan article on 50 Fun Things to Do Naked and attended an event in the Bay Area with a friend.

"I was really was inspired," she said, "but realized how ridiculous it was it to drive to San Francisco to do a protest against oil dependency." So she decided to organize a ride here.

The purpose of the event is to show how vulnerable bicyclists are, she said.

"There's definitely a shock value to it," she said, "and you grab people's attention."

Bush is aware that the bike rides attract photographers who have posted thousands of photos and videos of naked participants online, and she's not happy about the prospect of observers with sleazy motivations. But she said, "I don't know how to get around it."

Wonder if anything came of this. If she attended the WNBR in San Francisco, there must be pictures of her. If you look closely, you can see she has a lip ring on the right side of her mouth. Perhaps this girl in 2009 is a match...

Auditions for naked Florida reality show to be streamed online

Producers of a proposed all-nude reality television show in Florida say they plan to stream auditions live over the Internet.

The St. Petersburg Times reported Thursday that the Internet audience will get to help pick the seven young people who will be in a new show called "Nak'd Truth." They will have to agree to spend a month in the buff at the Caliente Resort & Spa north of Tampa.

People watching online will get to vote thumbs-up or thumbs-down on potential cast members when auditions take place Nov. 13 and 14 at the resort, but no nudity will be shown.

Atlantic Overseas Pictures Inc. says film crews will shoot creatively and blur private body parts before the programs air on TV.

Half-naked driver pleads guilty to drunk driving

The events of the evening began to unfold when an RCMP officer received a report of a suspected intoxicated driver. He was given a licence plate number, which was traced back to Fitzgibbon's address. When he went to the home, he found a pair of shorts, women's underwear, sandals and a cellphone in the driveway...

A woman was found lying face down in the ditch close to the SUV, wearing nothing from her waist down. She sustained only minor injuries and was identified as Fitzgibbon.
