I never trust any cloud service as it may get hacked by brilliant techies. So I feel safe to encypt the pics and archive it with strong password protection. And store the encrypted and password locked archive file in my portable HDD.
I know that none of my relatives or friends are experts in hacking. So the one who get my portable HDD can only simply delete the files and use it for their personal purpose, ![]() |

I made a vow that if I left the hospital alive I would destroy all videos, pics, etc. so she wouldn't have to worry about them. I obviously did, so I did (destroy the material).

I have over 30 years of pictures of my wife. A few times I thought it would be best to erase them, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I named the encrypted file I store them in to resemble windows system file, so even if some young techie niece/nephew or grand child.were to inherit my pc and peripherals, the file would most likely be overlooked. So when I die, so do the pics, (except for the ones that leaked)

They are not hidden, they are encrypted. They cannot be recognized as pictures until decrypted with the password,. But think this thread is devolving more into a discussion thread than a story thread.
I think people come here more for stories about who has their pics or who might see them or might have them once they no longer control them as opposed to a technical discussion on encryption vs. hidden and the various option for each. Maybe I'm wrong, just my thoughts. Me personally while I wouldn't post my wife's unblurred pictures,. I do think it's kind of hot that a few are out there. BTW. Happy Father's Day! |

On a slightly different note (please read the whole note before you decide were being morbid or death obsessed), but we have lost a few close friends and relatives over the last year.
I guess as part of the coping mechanism we kid each other about what each would do if the other went first... Hold on not as morbid as at sounds. I tell her she'll use the insurance money to hire a live-in pool boy and she tells me I'll use it to get me some young chippy. Ok wait for it. Here's where the picture theme comes back in. I told her that if she dares go before me, instead of the traditional family pictures most people display at a funeral, I'm putting up ALL of the pics I have of her from Fantasy Fest, and burying her in my favorite Fantasy Fest outfit :-) |
