My shot at this
Ok, Here's what I was able to do with a free program off the interwebs. I somewhat randomly took pics from various places in this thread and gave the a bit of a makeover. How good or bad a job I made of it is left up to the viewer. I think I can at least say that I improved each pic somewhat. The pics are all in the order of original pic first, then my attempted fix-up pic. So, without further ado, here we go.

The third set in the last post had already been worked on, but it still looked a bit too red to me. So, I gave that a touch-up. Apologies if I've offended anyone. (Did what I could with the second to last set, but I believe those are roller marks from the camera.)

That program I mentioned in my first post? It's a free program that I have been using for the past ten years or so to manage my pic files. It can handle just about any photo file you can come up with, and is fairly easy to figure out. I learned mostly by taking a pic and just playing with it until I figured out how to do things.
Anyway,the program is FREE, is hassle-free, bug-free, and as I said, I've had no real problems with it for over ten years. The name of it is IrfanView. You can get it at its home site or any of several others. Just type "Irfanview" in the search bar and most likely the first result you will get is the home site. Have fun and good luck!

A few yrs ago I bought a new & better Scanner for my old 35mm slides..
I didn't get any questions why I needed a new Scanner, (family photos, of course)..

The original pics have recently destroyed, copies are on two password protected Thumb Drives, hidden in the rafters in the Basement, ( for future owners if they can break the passwords ).. Many yrs ago I started to post only on Websites that allow you to delete them yourself.. I'm thinking now of going around & doing that.. Yes, they would be still out there, but at least they wouldn't be source material.. So, the question is, when is a good time to pack it in, & just be a lurker ??.. Any thoughts ???
