Attachment Limits?

I just tried to add an attachment - but it didnt work
I think there is a limit. Q1 - is there?
why cant we use code to link to a pic already on the web? - Maybe only in the Picasa thread....
I found I have over 100mb of attachments of photo and video (lots of it taken by myself) it would be a shame for me to delete it in order to add new stuff... suggestions pls

There are no attachment limits as far as total quantity goes. There is however an attachment limit on the size of the file you're trying to upload. That could be the problem you're running into, how large is the size of the photo? It could also be a file type that the forum doesn't support.

We would like people to stay away from using codes to post photos because it causes problems. I'm sure you've seen other forums use them and as time goes on those photos get deleted from the site that's hosting them. That then leaves the forum nothing but a mess of code or red x's where the photos used to be.

If people didn't direct upload to the forum we wouldn't have over 2 million archived files like we do today.
