Am I doing something wrong with these posts? Not sure why all the vertical attachments are flipping horizontally. I even tried to counter flip them on the new post but it didn't help...

Great pics, man. As far as the rotation of the pics, do you use Picasa? Picasa doesn't actually modify the file when you click one of the rotation buttons; it just stores the rotation info in a config file so it knows to rotate it next time you view the file.
