I doubt the point of a keg stand is to consume a massive amount of alcohol, though it does help, but the blood rush that results from being held up in the air like that. But who cares cause its a really good excuse to give a girl a helping hand

My three kids, all early twenties, clued me in on the keg stand; as the new beer bong. Supposedly, it gets you drunk faster, although I agree that being upside down should only make it harder to swallow great quantities of beer; not get drunk faster. I think having a stream of beer forced down your throat should about max out the alcohol intake, and any "benefit" would be, as others have said, a blood flow thing; as well as a means of consuming the aforementioned brands without having to actually taste them. Personally, I drink beer for the taste, not the drunk; but then, I'm not in my early twenties anymore, thank goodness? I vote it as a drinking game.
