I have known a pawnshop owner in Florida and a department store employee in Michigan, both of whom told me that they have known shoplifters in jewelry stores to use a girl in a miniskirt without panties to provide a distraction. While people are looking under her skirt she hopes nobody will notice her accomplice trying to steal something. Have you ever seen anybody try to do that trick? If it happens and you get a photo of it, please post it here.

Have you considered leaving a piece of cheap costume jewelry out where sombody could easily take it, but having an employee watching it to catch any shoplifter who does? Then you would have the option of calling the police, or, if the shoplifter is cute, not calling the police if she agrees to a strip search so you can be assured that she did not take anything else.
