help just changed to a mac

Can anyone help me? I just bought a Mac and the last time I had one was about 10 years ago. I am having trouble saving photos or video clips especially from OCC. It just doesn't work. The best I can do is pull them to my desktop and the are listed as picture clipping2.pictClipping or Picture clipping 7.pictClipping.

The photos only appear as thumbnails on my desktop.

Can anyone help me with downloading and saving photos using a mac with iphoto '09 version 8.1.1 and quicktime X version 10.1.

Try holding down CTRL and clicking the image, you should be able to select "Save Image As" then.

or if its a magic mouse right click save as otherwise ctl click save as works

I was using my AOL that I had for my PC I got AOL for MAc and now I have no problem/ I drag the photo to desktop and then import to my library/

DUH!
