Shrink file size

A file that i have is too large. The limit is 300.0 KB and my file is 532.2 KB. Is there anyway for me to shrink the picture so i can post it? Any help is appreciated.

What image viewer do you use? There should be a feature to resize in it.

It is a great free picture viewer.

Open your image in it, then got to: File, Image, Resize and choose "Set new size as percent of original"

60% of the original size should probably work on this file (and make sure you check the "preserve aspect ratio")

Just open the file and resize it to a smaller size, or change the resolution to 72 dpi, or convert it into .jpeg when it is in another file extension.
