Request... Nude Beach Horn..!

This guys pictures have been around since the mid to late 90's. They used to be all over the various nudist sites and NG's. If I remember right... The Guys name is Les Cook and Klondike is right, he is an editor/photog for some Australian nudist publication or something. I have searched the internet several times for more of his pictures to no avail. It seems to be the same old photos (nothing new). Which is too bad, because I really like this style of photos. My apologies if this was useless info...

When you read about clubs, resorts and beaches, people comment on how often men become aroused. Not very often. It does happen though, and you are expected not to flaunt it and to cover up if and when it does. (I personally never have seen it to be honest.)

Nude beaches, more often than not, are open to the public. Anyone can go there. People that don't know the "rules" are the ones we're seeing in the pics that do exist. Notice most are beach pictures. So it probably doesn't happen very often, when it does it's not flaunted, kept hidden......

I agree to a degree. Swingers, and those who walk along the edge of swinging (exhibitionists, etc) also often frequent nudist resorts and beaches. Such patrons often cross the line of typical or "proper" nude beach etiquette, but they can also be regulars of that location. My gf and I have experienced this first hand at a local nude beach on many ocassions. Its not only the newbies or "gawkers" that become aroused. There are an aweful lot of "nudists" who are not very big on the "freedom from clothes" thing as they are about "seeing or being seen." I hear way more pick up lines and see way more guys attempting to meet girls on the nude beach than the "textile" beach, and most of the guys who are working it are part of the local "nudist crowd." The guests, or newbie guys are too nervous to hit on the girls, especially the regulars. Most newbie guys simply gawk, and if the get aroused they hit the deck or the water. Its mostly the regulars who have the balls to be seen while erect.

I've seen many real life "nude beach horns" as these guys attempt to pick up the newbie girls, and sometimes even the regular girls. When you read a nudist website that says sexual overtones are not a part of the nudist lifestyle don't believe it. It depends on the location and the individuals. In my experience nudist are often more sexual than textile people. They just hide behind the nudist tag in order to get a free pass to walk around naked in front of others, or watch people who are naked, or flirt with people in a nude atmosphere.

Many nudists really do believe in the stuff you read on nudists websites, but what they don't tell you is that they are constantly battling the "other nudists" who do not.

Not useless, more proof I was wrong. Which is cool, just getting old, memory isn't what it used to be. Wouldn't mind seeing his work though. The bald guy's work that is.

Makes sense. Have to admit, never been on a clothing optional beach. (Live in midwest US, when we make it to the beach, usually go to visit family....) But haven't seen what you described in the clubs I've attended. Might be more like the other clubs....

I've just always thought nudists/naturist as more open minded, and that there is a difference between a nudist and a naturist also. Maybe that is what were talking about here?

If you frequent rec.nudes as i used to, you will see this issue crop up constantly. There are battle lines clearly drawn with the swinger-nudist faction on one side and the traditional nudists (naturists) on the other.

I once found myself in the thick of a heated argument over exhibitionist nudists. Seems i made a disparaging remark about body adornments and shaved pubes at nude beaches. And I implied that those who alter their bodies to draw attention to their private parts aren't really true naturists. As you might expect, i got blasted. It seems the more swinger/exhibitionist faction are very adament in their claim that they are legitimate nudists and have just as much right to be on a nude beach as the regulars.

And the issue extends to more overt types of behavior as well. Ironically, nude beaches seem to attract BOTH people who are less sexual than textiles, and people who are more sexual than textiles. That is going to cause some friction. But the other question you raised i.e. who is better "behaved" over all - newbies or regulars. That is an interesting question. But I would have to say in my experience that ON THE WHOLE, regulars are better behaved EXCEPT for the occasional dominant male regular who gets overly friendly with all the newbie females. I've seen that happen way too often...

Most beaches I know have a core group of regulars who are pretty good about upholding the naturist ideal. But this may not be true everywhere, i realize..
