Do people working in a lab look at the pics they develop?

the first few times i posed nude was for gwc's who placed ads in the local alternative newspapers. they were the days when digital cameras weren't available or affordable yet. a lot of my poses were explicit, and i used to think to myself, my body might not get out to the world, but it'll make some photo lab tech's day. lol

As a user of a professional lab for my slides and later an operator of a shop-based mini-lab, I can say with certainty: yes, people working in these places do look at the pics they develop. Apart from anything else, they have to, to ensure quality. And I certainly saw a few things that opened my eyes! There was more than one customer I never looked at the same way again after developing and printing their pics. A very attractive young teacher from a local private school comes to mind, for example, who went on the occasional holiday to somewhere in the Med and didn't always wear nearly as much there as she would a school. She didn't come back with any tan lines. And she was far from the only one I saw.

Years ago, pre-digital, my girlfriend and I took lots of nudes and sexually explicit photos of each other. Whilst handing over the processed slides or prints, the technician sometimes made comments about the really interesting photos, and usually some compliments on my girlfriend's body. A few times they actually asked if they could make some prints to keep, to which we always answered: "No, as you most likely already did!).

I hear you. Back in the day, I took my film to a developer in the Gay Village. Gay people tend to be more open mineded about nudity. In fact, some of the pics were of naked peope in the Gay Parade.

Every time I need to print some digital pics from walgreens, I always make sure and include a couple of "fun" pictures of my wife. Somehow when I pick them up those pictures are always on the top of the stack 🥰😅

Yes, you can be sure they looked at them. And not only that—you can be sure they made copies for themselves.

Back in the 80's we had a local 1 hour photo here in town,my wife at the time had her sister take some nudes of her in a pool lying on a large float showing everything,I had the photo by my bed and one day it was gone,she through it away,I said I loved that photo and she felt bad so we went to the 1 hour photo with the negative and asked for an 8 by 10 photo to be made,the guy said come back in an hour we did,she gave her name and the guy said oh the swimming pool photo,it came out great,he walked out and laid it down on the counter in a clear wrapper,I got so nervous I had to leave and she felt totally embarrassed and other customers were looking on.After the shock of it I always want to do it again,so I did many many times.
