My wife Connie is a regular topless sunbather when on holiday and says that most other women she knows have been topless on holiday at some point. Even if just with their other half somewhere reasonably private, or on a girls trip or when they were much younger and more carefree / confident.

Connie also says that all the women she has spoken to about it, regardless of whether they are regular or just occasional topless sunbathers, speak positively about the experience of doing it. Even if they won’t do it anymore. Words she has used (either describing how she feels about it or things others have said to her) include exciting, liberating, freeing, invigorating, exhilarating, empowering. All of which I understand and can imagine being the case.

Do people here agree with Connie’s view that more women than not have at least tried it once? Suspect that is more likely the case in Europe than elsewhere.

It certainly seems to be the case, from experiences I have had with Connie and others, that even those who haven’t are usually up for trying it in the right setting and with a bit of encouragement from another female.

I have talked to many girlfriends or just female friends and encouraged them to go topless. Almost all of them have tried it at least once (it is quite common in southern Spain) and nearly all speak positively about it and enjoy it. However, most reserve it for places where people don't know them and when there are no guys they know nearby, though once they get used to it, they usually don't mind doing it whenever they can. In many cases, what encourages them the most is for someone else to do it so they are not the only one, but I also know many who, depending on their mood and even knowing no one else will follow them, will just go for it. And in holidays, almost every one try it being far from home, regardless they do not try in own beach.

I think you a right, probably well over 50% of UK women in my age bracket and older have tried at least once the experience of exposing their tits to the world on a European beach (or pool 20 years ago). Alas the UK vibe abroad is now very different: younger UK women millennial and younger on the whole do not, and have never. That's not every woman 40 and younger (my sil being a recent example of someone fessing up to me she gets her ample set out on hols in the right environment, but that probably says more about my in laws relaxed attitude to nudity than her generation). But mainly younger ish UK women have not grown up getting their norks out on hols, and I suspect now never will.
My wife this very morning in bed on our family holiday in France, remarking on the chic grey haired retired French women in pairs of friends,casually chatting with each other and going for the odd dip in the sea, all the while tits out: wife said that would be her at the drop of a hat when she takes early retirment. But apart from the obvious tax and brexit fiscal issues regarding this dream of her retiring to topless French beach, she remarks than none of her close friends would conceive of doing that. She feels even the many friends that she's seen their tits as she's spent a week sunbathing topless with in her younger years, even they have resigned the norks out sunbathing to a thing of the past. So the percentage of UK wives topless on holidays is now I fear very low, and only set to get lower.
I have seen a fair few pairs of tits this week, but none of them British. Well, my wife's obviously, eg all that talk this morning and I said she had to give me a look at hers, so she obliged obviously, but even my wife doesnt get her tits out ow other than at a nude beach and without our kids around, which was so different to say 1990s or early 00s where most UK women, including mums with kids, would have their tits on show all day on holiday.

That’s a shame and likely due to everyone has a camera in their pocket and not the lease shy about using it on nude beaches.

The nude beaches we go to no one uses a camera! They'd be lynched I think. It's more every other Spanish, French and Greek beach that used to have the majority of the women, tounge and old, with their tits out, but now they don't because on the normal nude beaches people are snap happy which has put off the normal women on standard beaches getting their norks out
