Yes the gray hair may have something to do with it. Also the bare look has been in style for a while now, and when the pendulum swings the other way, the younger generation will probably embrace the bush first. The gray hair thing is very plausible. Also, Gen X and younger Boomers came into their teens/adulthood during a time where pubic hair started disappearing with Brazilian bikini waxes. Many just stuck with it into their later years.

Covid had a little something to do with the return of pubic hair. A younger friend of mine said she stopped shaving/trimming while quarantining; and decided she actually liked having full pubes. Quite a few of the younger ladies at my resort are hairy.
