I showed up to VinB in 2022 without an appt and was let in. It was mid afternoon on a weekday.

The curious part was being asked if I wanted a locker room with or without a camera. I said with a camera thinking sure I don’t want my stuff stolen. However it meant a mostly empty locker room with a few other guys. I doubt many women are choosing to be recorded changing.

But, only one toeless woman changing when I was there anyway.

(1) I plan to book spa reservations ahead of time as much as possible. What are good times to book entry at V in B on a Friday and a Saturday? I read that the bouncers are less strict (or absent entirely) earlier in the day. When do they first come out, and when do they get stricter? That Friday will likely be my first time at V in B – though I plan to have gone to K in B beforehand. It seems like they’re stricter on first-time guests, and it doesn’t seem wise to lie about having been there before. Should I make a reservation for a very early time, especially for that Friday, to increase my chances of entry?

These spas are not nightclubs or raves, where have you heard of people being denied access? You need a reservation at busy times to avoid having to wait. Unless you sit around wanking in the sauna, you're not going to be kicked out.

Bring a refillable, non glass bottle, there are places to fill up with water.

In summer, you can sunbathe outside, bring what you need for that.

I’ve seen twice people getting rejected. The second time the guy already had a booking and they were about to refund him. But both times those people didn’t really fit the vibe of V for many reasons

I have gone to vabali in 2019 with a black friend but i don't think a single mixed or black man non german speaking could enter now

Any suggestions or comments about Switzerland? I know there isn't any place quite like VinB or TE. But how about gyms such as Fitnesspark National in Lucerne, or public pools such as Bodelibad in Interlaken? Bernaqua? ANy other recommendations would be appreciated.

I don't know Lucerne very well. My concern with Fitnesspark National is that they all have a women's section and a mixed section. Some of their facilities in other cities also have men's sections.

What looked interesting to me in the area is Bergenstock. It also has what looks like an amazing view. Also the Hotel Rossli looks nice. They also welcome guests who are external to the hotel. Both of these are textile-free and mixed. Remember, to paraphrase a famous actor, saunas are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Even a place that one knows may be having an off day when you're there.
