Unless the wife/GF was already a nudist before meeting her current partner, it likely was her current partner that got her to try it. But…“other people” is when things start to get complicated. Because if you’re at a nude beach or resort, there likely are other people around.

And social nudity will challenge the heck out of that concept. Sure, women do have “easy to conceal” internal genitals (although I would argue that actually complicates things more for them). And some will choose to just preserve their modesty by keeping their legs closed/crossed at all times. Some go in the opposite direction, just say "screw modesty," and let their legs fly open. That was the approach my ex-wife took. It was initially confusing to me because it was steeped in “plausible deniability.” When I’d bring up the fact that her bald pussy was exposed for all to see, she would claim “unawareness”, or just be evasive. I think a lot of nudist wives are a bit like this. Sometimes it’s a bummer; sometimes it’s a nice surprise.

At the end of the day though, if a wife is comfortable being naked at the beach or resort, the husband wins. Whether she’s a “spreader” or a “sitter” is secondary IMHO.

Yes, in my case too, I was the one who introduced my wife to nudism, when we were still dating. First at some spa, then we moved on to the beaches. Shihoin, much of what you wrote sounds like my wife. What started as a mid-life dare or adventure between the two of us turned into a strong vacation preference. The freedom, relaxation, convenience, increased social aspect, with a small dash of titillation ended up being rather addicting. The warm sun on a nude body, the no tanlines result, discovering that a wet bathing suit is in fact a major inconvenience. She now looks forward to spending a week in the nude and hates spending money to go on a vacation where she is forced to wear clothes. We've been going to the same resort for years now, and we are familiar with many of the regulars there. So if my wife is in a "naked mood" that day, around them she can easily rationalize that they've likely already seen her "nooks and crannies" at some point while doing "normal" activities. So she's going to be pretty relaxed, especially if it's people she knows and like to talk to. And boy does she love to talk and talk. So for her, it's not that big a deal in those moments if the person she's talking to gets an "eyeful." But it's not exactly "being brave." It's just being comfortable and confident - in that moment.

A few years back we transitioned from clothing-optional resorts to our current "nude-mandatory" one. The hardest thing my wife told me was going from covering up to walk around; to staying naked the entire time.
But she got used to it pretty quickly. As a matter of fact she now prefers it that way: because the people that see her nude are also all naked. There isn't the "imbalance" she used to experience at clothing-optional places.

My second wife that passed, we started together our nude adventure back in the early 90s.
