A woman who was found swimming nude in her neighbor's pond was "trying to be a mermaid."

According to a statement issued by the Union Parish Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, 41-year-old Erin Elizabeth Sutton was taken into custody after deputies responded to a trespassing complaint in the Linville community of Marion in Louisiana in November 2025.

The caller reported that their neighbor, Sutton, was standing in their driveway screaming despite previous warnings not to trespass. Upon arrival, deputies found Sutton swimming nude in a pond on the caller's property.

Sutton initially refused to exit the pond, claiming she was "trying to be a mermaid."

Naked protester arrested at Centennial Park

A 39-year-old woman was taken into custody Sunday morning after an officer spotted her running naked amid protests in Centennial Park.

According to court documents, an officer was on routine patrol when he spotted a naked woman with a sign running toward people gathered in the park on West End Avenue.

Orting, WA city council video shows nude woman during virtual meeting

Approximately 13 minutes into the live, four-hour session, a woman appeared behind Council Member Jeff Sproul, who was attending the meeting remotely.

Initially, only the woman's bare back was seen. However, about 30 seconds later, she appeared again, this time fully visible after being caught on camera outside the blurred background filter.
