For anyone in a similar situation, did having your wife naked in front of others in a mixed sauna live up to expectations? Especially if this was your first time doing it, just dipping your toes. Part of me is just a bit concerned that if it's just older people and a non-sexual environment, neither of us will get much excitement out of it.

Our first time, in Cologne was amazing, if you like other men seeing your wife naked they will do up close. All the Spas, both in hotels and seperate wellness centres, we have been to have been a good mix of old and young of both sexes. Even though everyone is naked an the atomosphere is non-sexual it is a great turn on for me having my wife naked with other men.

On the covering up, if Austria is like Germany no swimsuit is allowed at all so whe will have to be naked, but thereis nothing to stop using a towel to cover if she is uncomfortable.

Yes, and more. Just think about sitting in a jacuzzi with a bunch of strangers. Then your wife joins you, first hanging up her towel, revealing her ass to everyone. Depends on the venue but we've always found a way to get excitement. If it's busy with lots of hot people, there's lots to look at. If it's quiet, male heavy or with older people, know your wife will be the centre of attention.

I’ve been visiting a local sauna for the past few years and it’s interesting seeing the different types of women come in and use it. Firstly, to break down the ethnicities (for women) it must be about 95% white, 4% asian and 1% other. I’ve only seen about 6 East Asian women use the sauna, and 2 black women use it. I have seen a few more black women visit but they wore a swimsuit, and no one seems to say anything about them wearing it. There are a lot of South Asian women where I live, but I’ve never seen any of them use the sauna, despite quite a few using the indoor pool in the same complex. In comparison to men, there’s a lot more diversity. For men there are quite a few Arabic, black, South Asian, surprisingly no East Asian, and white men who are also the dominant ethnicity. The first black women I saw in the sauna seemed to be someone that was very integrated into the society here, the second actually part of a family that came during a day when it was usually a women’s day sauna however due to Christmas hours it changed to becoming a mixed day, and although she wasn’t really my type, it was quite amusing to see an older conservative first generation black European woman completely naked with very saggy tits and hairy unkempt sn*tch on display. When she saw a man enter the sauna she was visibly surprised and tried to cover herself somewhat, but it wasn’t very effective and her tits kept falling out.

As for body types, what I’ve already noticed is that the vast majority of women that visit the sauna have pretty good bodies. The women that feel more comfortable with their body seem to be more likely to join, so I would say the majority have a pretty lean kind of body, with a full pair of tits. For the ones who aren’t shaved, there will usually not be a particular style associated with the pubic hair, it will just be hairy or a lot of visible stubble. I have seen maybe 5-10 women with landing strips, which is always a highlight, but they are definitely in the minority. For the younger women they are basically all shaved with the occasional landing strip, for older women it’s a bit more varied.

As for age, if I had to break it down I would say 90% are above 30, 80% are above 40, and 60% are between 40 and 60. So the majority are a bit older and obviously more confident in their bodies. What I also find interesting is how the women conduct themselves in the sauna, around the changing rooms, and in the relaxing areas. For the men it’s quite normal to see a guy walking around naked, or dropping his towel to go for a shower and exposing himself very casually. For women it’s quite different, many will do these things incredibly discretely, and you need to keep your eyes out to make sure if you want to see the tits or sn*tch. In the changing rooms, which are mixed, there are open lockers and also some cabins where people can get changed. The men will never use the cabins, for the women it’s a 50/50. When women change they will likely cover themselves up with a towel while changing, and while some don’t mind dropping everything quickly to change, the majority don’t do that. I have rarely seen a woman walking around naked freely in the change rooms, unlike the men. It does happen though, there are a couple of older nudist women who do this regularly (they hang out with other male sauna goers like friends but I also see these men perve on them when they get the chance). Once the woman leaves the changing room, they’ll go directly to the sauna or sit down on the relaxing chairs for a while, all while wrapped in a towel of course. After entering into a sauna, that’s where things get interesting. Depending on the woman, there’s usually an awkward shuffle to find a place to sit, place the towel down on the wooden bench carefully but also quickly, sit down to close the legs, and sort of cover the tits with the arms. If there are already women in the sauna, I notice that when another woman enters she is usually a lot more relaxed. If it’s just men, she seems to be a bit more inhibited, but also there are those that kind of want to prove a point about being strong so they sit down confidently on start the sauna. Almost all women are discreet in the sauna, they don’t open their legs, they will hunch over a little bit and cover their tits with their arms. The part where you’re likely to see anything is if they get up and leave or when they come in. If they are very inhibited then they might wrap themselves completely in the towel and spend the whole sauna session like that so that you cannot see anything. This happened once with me on a women’s day sauna that became a mixed day because of Christmas schedules. Today, I went solo to the Z in A, a couple nice sights but not as much as I expected. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, but if you don't mind a little chaos, there is a sauna on the lake in Geneva called Bains des Pâquis. It doesn't have enforced clothing standards, so you get a big variety. It can be a bit hit-or-miss, but your best luck is to try on Thursday or Friday nights. It is open all day, so you can go in the daytime and get a tan on a sunny day. It is on the lake and the saunas have a great view of the lake and old city. Also has a steam room and a hamam. You can also schedule a massage. Entrance fee covers as long as you want to stay. They have special events on "Full Moon" nights. It will close for the summer in mid-May, reopen in mid-September. Tuesdays are women-only. There is a restaurant (Buvette des Pâquis) that opens on both sides (general seating on one side, sauna area on the other), so you can even get a fondue while there, or at least a beer or glass of wine once in a while.

If you want something fancier, then on the other side of the lake (next to Geneva Beach) there is the more upscale Bain-Bleu. It has a rooftop swimming pool with a bar and restaurant, etc. But the only clothing optional area is the steam room in the basement. It is a nice steam room, but that's about it.

For whatever reason, I have not found a lot of good saunas (good=heavily clothing-optional) in Switzerland, but I have not been everywhere. You may be able to find something interesting in Zürich.

I was skiing many years ago in Nandaz, up in Valais/Wallis, and was meeting up with a former GF who was there with her son and some of his friends and I had a sort of GF with me. After skiing all day, we went to the sauna in my hotel, and being me, a German lady and a Japanese lady who I had taught all about saunas, we immediately disrobed and went into the steam room/sauna/relax cycle. But I think some other people there (maybe French) were surprised that we disrobed, as they were still all suited up. As we stepped into the steam room, my German friend said, "you are the hero!" :-D Anyway, the point is, I find Switzerland to be a bit more modest than Germany or Austria, and a lot of the people who visit (lots of French) are somewhat modest, too.

Yeah, F changed its schedule, probably to accommodate all the people who want to keep their suits on. The days used to alternate between separate (men on side and women on the other) and mixed, but now they alternate between clothed and clothing-free (fortunately, that is strictly enforced), of which both modes are mixed. Saturdays are clothing only, so avoid Saturdays (I think Tuesday is also a clothing day). Otherwise, it is probably the best deal. And they no longer limit your time to 3 hours. However, the brush massage is only available on some afternoons (like Sunday and Friday). Who you see there depends on the season. If it's vacation time in China or Japan, you may seen more Chinese or Japanese there. The Chinese seem to come in groups and the Japanese individually or in couples. I have noticed more Americans in the last few years, too. Maybe due to internet-based recommendations, but they seem to be the ones who want to drag their towel around with them - that is only for the Irish hot-air bath part, not the whole spa. And some wear shoes throughout, too. I have complained to the staff, but they don't have enough people policing those things. So, yeah, the shoes are to protect your feet from the hot floor in the Irish bath and the towel/sheet is to protect you from the hot benches. Once you leave the Irish part, you should leave your towel and shoes back at the initial showering area.

C, which is next door, is just a big swimming pool. I went there once, but it has no clothing-optional areas, except for maybe a steam room.
