One time I left the train station to head to my job. Coming from the opposite direction was a young woman. As she got close, she gently slap me on the shoulder.

Young woman: You don't recognize me?
Me: Actually no. Who are you?

Young woman: I'm a dancer at the XYZ strip club.
Me: Oh yes, now I recognize you.

Turns out she had a day civilian job and only dances/strips part-time.

A few years ago I met and got somewhat friendly with a stripper at a club that was new to me.

Anyway, one day when I got to the club she was sitting with another woman. It was her twin sister (not identical). Anyway, her sister said she would like to try stripping and would do dance for me gratis. Problem was she couldn't get permission from the club because she didn't have a stripper license (damn).

My own overheard conversation (while on the train to work):

Two high school age boys sitting in the seats across from me (given time of day, probably on their way to school):

HS Boy1: Know what? Mom's dancing again. (As this was an odd line out of the blue, I start paying attention while pretending to concentrate on my laptop)

HSB2: Are you serious? Again? How many times has she quit already?

HSB1: I dunno, maybe three or four times? Dad keeps telling her to stop, and she keeps going back.

HSB2: Can't get enough of dat money, I bet.

On that last statement, I finally work out that HSB1's mom was a stripper. Subsequent conversation revealed that his parents were in fact a divorced couple, but she was not doing it because of delinquent child support but apparently was supplementing her support check and a decent day job. Worked out also that the boys (who seemed like middle-income suburban kids) were students at the downtown magnet school for the arts. The one thing I've always wondered since then is whether she was a stripper before she got married, or started as a divorced MILF. At any rate, that kid was living an interesting story that I would have liked to hear more about.
