i have some mpg files that need way to dark. could yall tell me a GOOD FREE program i can use to brighten them?

Two free programs that come to mind that work perfectly for that are windows movie maker and bs player.

i'd have to recommend GOM Player again...lets you easily adjust brightness/contrast on the fly.

i would say virtualdub also, if you actually want to save the brightened video that is.
if you just want to keep upping the brightness when playing it, then media player will do. |

Or if you want to get gansta with it you can use Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video. Lest us not forget that gettin' gansta ain't free.
