My guess is about half though my preference is the landing strip which is what my wife has. She's had it fuller and completely shaved but this is my favorite.

We frequent naturist beaches and naturist spas, so my firsthand experience is that 90% of those women shave completely, including my wife. But my wife says that from her experience in the changing rooms, only 50% are completely shaved. I also shave my pubis and balls completely.

I would agree, I’m thinking bald may actually be past it’s peak. my partner is pretty fair and min hair anyway but she had been bald for past 7 years and has let it grow in….
On the beaches landing strips seem popular now. The little strip or patch is my preference.

My wife was always shaved, but before her physical she grew it back. so your sister may not be completely accurate.

A small update. Due to the wax, she remained smooth during our whole vacation without having to shave. Not long after we were back home, the first fine hairs started to grow again. As she didn't want to grow out the hairs again in order to wax, she has gone back to the daily shaving.

Another factor is swimwear. If you watch programmes like Love Island (UK) this year you'll see swimsuits that don't have room for pubic hair!
Programmes like these often set the trends and sure enough you are seeing more of these in real life.
To me it's an indication that shaving is getting more, rather than less common.
I've seen lots of women at the pool, beach or waterpark where there must have been major hair removal (of course, a small landing strip could have been left).

The original survey was about actual observations (e.g.at nude beach, spas etc.), but it is interesting to discuss what the true number would be too.

If anyone has missed the excellent Dating Naked UK, the stats so far are 5 totally bare and 1 lightly trimmed. The 5 have a very smooth and clean look so are most likely waxed and maybe lasered.

Harder to tell with the men. They've all had back, crack and sack but a couple are more stubbly.

Clearly not representative of society, but it sets the trend for those watching.
