I used to go quite regularly a few years back. Unfortunately the gardens have now been sold, and the new owners belong to a section of the community known for being prudish. So the CO days are no more. I'll just say at the start: sorry I don't have any photos of these events! Three different events, I will tell each in a separate post. First: the Naked Disco! This was maybe 15 years ago when we were mid to late 30s.

The first naked event that Jane and I went to was a Naked Disco. I had read about it online and Jane agreed to give it a try.

There was a changing area, you stripped off, put your clothes in a bag and it was sealed and tagged, and you were given the corresponding number tag.

We headed out into the club area. It was dark. Mostly guys, but some women. We got a drink and a couple of ultra nerdy guys came and tried to chat to Jane at the bar.

We went back and had a dance. One guy was masturbating in the shadows. Jane wasn't too bothered!

There was a fetish act. A woman wearing metal underwear, who then used an angle grinder against it to shoot sparks. Quite a bizarre interlude!

Quite a few new people appeared on the dance floor for that bit. We got chatting to another couple who told us that people had been upstairs in the "anything goes" area. Then it was time to go, they left at the same time. We headed back to the reception area, collected our bags of clothes and then headed up a steep staircase back to the changing area. Then we had to all get dressed in the quite small changing area, and so I got the pleasure of watching her do a reverse striptease.

We got a cab together and dropped them off on the way to our hotel. Nothing more happened. But I did get her name. She is a successful academic scientist so every now and then I Google her, see another article about her and think "I've danced with you naked!"

The second event was a Naked Restaurant. In 2016, a few years after we went to the Naked Disco. Again, it was in London. It was a pop-up Vegan restaurant in a disused pub. It was called Bunyadi, and had a kind of Tropical Garden of Eden theme. The entrepreneur involved was very good at getting a lot of free publicity, and there are still articles about it on the web. Which goes into detail about the food and has staged publicity photos which give a sense of the decor. So I will concentrate on the nude interaction!

You had to book and pay in advance, if I remember correctly, so we're checked off on entry, which was into a bar area. We were given white towelling dressing gowns (robe), which we were allowed to keep, and directed to a small changing area with lockers with keys, like many swimming pools have.

We were told to get changed into the dressing gowns then wait for our names to be called. So we came back into the bar, ordered a drink and sat at a table. There weren't many people in when we arrived. I noticed a young, professional looking woman at the bar. She kept fiddling with her dressing gown, clearly unsure about how much of her cleavage to show. Opening it a bit, then pulling it tighter. I thought she was gorgeous, and I hoped we would be sat near her so that I could see her naked! She had brown hair, cut in a bob. Classic pale English rose complexion. A real girl next door looks, but now a professional woman. A friend joined her, but then we were called through.

The waiter explained that we should keep our robes on until we were in the restaurant, then to take them off at our table, and if we needed to go to the toilet we could choose whether to wear them or not.

As we went through it became apparent that each table was surrounded by a kind of booth of thick bamboo stems, and the lighting was limited to candles on tables. Disappointing!

As the meal progressed there were glimpses of others through gaps in their booths, but it was hard to see or be seen.

I went to the toilet halfway through, and walked nude. I noticed that the lovely woman from the bar was now part of a big group, but couldn't stop and stare, and the bamboo booths and candlelight conspired to prevent me seeing much!

Jane went to the toilet, and also opted to go naked. She said that she had had a brief exchange with a man who was going to the toilets as she came out.

As our meal was heading to an end, I heard a man in a nearby booth ask the waiter if it was OK to be naked in the bar now. The waiter said that it was OK, but it didn't happen very often.

As the couple walked past us I asked "Did you just ask if it is OK to be nude in the bar?" And when he replied "Yes", I said "We will if you will..."

We followed them out and back to the bar, us all in our dressing gowns. We were the first diners back into the bar. The (clothed) bar staff and security were in there. We headed over to a table with four stools (rough cut tree trunk) and sat down. Jane just said "I'll go first" got up, and dropped her robe. The rest of us followed.

It turned out the other couple, who were slightly older than us, were on a date (second or third date, I think) which was quite bold! We chatted away, and got on really well. The woman was really quite shy, but pushed on through. She had a lovely smile, and beautiful, full, breasts. Eventually they said they had to go, and we were left alone.

Meanwhile the room had filled as different tables finished and came in. The woman who I had noticed earlier, it turned out, was part of a group of 10, aged from twenties to forties. I would guess it was a works outing. She was sat in the middle of the big group, facing into the room, and therefore me. I never saw her lower half, but she looked radiant, smiling and laughing with her group, and with her beautiful medium sized boobs prominently on display.

They saw that we were naked, and didn't take long to follow suit. With them and us naked, every table that came back in either dropped their robes and sat down, or decided they couldn't follow suit and went straight to the changing room, changed and left.

I noticed another couple sat next to that big group, on a table for two, and said to Jane "Should we invite them to join us?" Jane got straight up, walked past the big group, totally exposed, and went over and talked to them. Then they came and joined us. She was in her twenties, and a postgraduate student. He was slightly older. She was blonde, tall and slim, with nice proportionate breasts, and erect nipples the whole time they were with us. Abbey House Gardens was amazing. There was an undercurrent of naughtiness there, and I had the pleasure of watching a couple play there on one occasion.

The thing that always thrilled was just how overlooked it was, with a walkway down one side and a footpath over the back. You’d often get people taking a discrete pic of the nudists, and I was always happy to oblige. My semi must be on hundreds of camera rolls!

I remember on one occasion chatting to three women (early 20s, at a guess, one of whom had a boyfriend with her) through the fence adjacent to the walkway. Another, when an unsuspecting woman came out of her flat to go presumably to work and found herself standing fully dressed in a sea of naked people crouched on the ground. Most weird of all was walking past a line of grinning policemen liiining the route at one point.

We carefully avoided the TV cameras and kept to the back of the crowd when posing for photos. For some reason my wife didn't want her parents to see me, her husband in the nude - she was not at all bothered about them seeing her that way. I regretted this when I saw the final photographs at a gallery.

We'd taken some friends with us to see the exhibition. I felt a little sad that our friends couldn't see us full frontal nude amongst the life sized images of the brave ones standing up front. You only get one oppotunity to do something like this, best to make a good job of it.

A crowd of people overhead my wife talking about posing. When they realised she'd posed nude they treated her like a celebrity and kept her for ages answering their questions about it. It was a shame they couldn't have seen her naked image. That would have made everybody's day.
