I was back in Europe last week on business and had planned on an evening a V in Berlin. Unfortunately, work crisis got in the way which kept me on a string of phone calls all evening evaporating my open window for fun. Instead, I decided to at least go to Rio's the next night when I was in London, knowing it wouldn't be remotely as good, but it was something. Man was it terrible....even more so than normal. The normal imbalance of men to women of course, but probably 60-70% of the people were dressed and the only two semi naked women were being followed by a line of guys trying to get a peek. After an hour of trying to at least enjoy the relaxation aspects, I gave up and got some pretty good ramen down the street near the tube station.

At least I'll be back next month again and hopefully can fit in stops in Berlin and Munich/Erding.

Trust me as a British guy who lives in London I've made peace with London is awful for sauna culture.

I just make trips to Berlin and munich every couple of months to get my fix of real sauna culture.

Thankfully London to Berlin and munch is less than 2 hours on a flight so can't complain too much.

But yeah the UK is rubbish.

Berlin Airport to Kristalltherme is a short ride as both are south of Berlin and close to each other. 30 min by cab or 50 min by public transport.

Hello London citizen

I've been traveling a lot, and even if the train takes a bit longer, the nice thing is your sitting down reading a book (or preparing a PowerPoint presentation if on work) while doing it. London St.Pancras to Köln takes about 5h. Köln has nice Spas rather close to the station, and, there is a fabulous Spa called Mediterana just outside Köln in Bensberg.

Last week, we spent two days in a sauna in the eastern part of the Netherlands, including adjacent hotel facilities. Really love this ... Arriving around lunch - spending a full day around those naked bodies - wine and dine in your bathrobe - relax a bit more - in your bathrobe to the hotelroom - next day breakfast in bathrobe - and another relaxing day .... so inspiring

Both days were rather quiet in the facilities - the crowd was mixed. Somewhat older couples, younger couples, mothers with daughters, and groups of female friends. So either 25 - 35 or 55+. I would guess 66% was female - especially during the day. Majority of the female visitors was fully shaven. A smaller part was trimmed (either landing strip or trangle). Some highlights?

I don’t recall that for Erding. But in some places - not necessarily Erding - some Aufguss sessions have a bit more of “spectacle”, some gimmicks, and I suppose some might dim the lights.

But normally the lights remain unchanged
