Sadly still not the majority, but I went expecting to see hardly any so was still pleased!

Nude beaches 50% nude 25% topless 25% clothed
Beaches away from built up areas 30-40% topless
Busy beaches in built up areas 10-20%
Pool 0%

Amongst this there was a good mix of ages and definitely a majority of thongs on the younger women. Topless + thong was the dream and saw a good few of those.

The pool is a crazy one. I remember back in the 80s my mom topless down at the pool, as was pretty much every other mum. Back in the noughties my wife's tits were always out down atvyhe pool, as were all the other girls' norks. Nowadays you don't see one pair of boobs out down by the pool.

I'm curious if you could suggest 2 or 3 beaches in Portugal that are "beaches away from built up areas" that are on the higher percentage of topless?

My wife would consider going topless or sometime even nude if she sees (many) others doing it.

Funny thing about beach based toplessness that makes it all appear so normal. I've mentioned before about a couple's holiday where my wife's friend had her tits out for the entire 2 weeks. After the initial boner inducing shock, it became normal (not that I found it any less exciting) but in recent years I've revelled more in seeing here in tight tops, or with a towel round her. Maybe it's because I've seen what's underneath and can still picture them, but it's almost as if the beach situation was asexual and seeing her in a normal environment would be far more exciting.

The time her husband showed me a topless selfie she'd sent him is more of a wank bank go-to than those 2 weeks on the beach.

Mentioned elsewhere also that I found an old topless pic of my wife that I thought I'd lost. Jerking off to that was more exciting than the real things that day.

Try parts of Meia Pria. Definitely Beliche. Cordoama for something more wild. Maybe Ilha Da Tavira but that was a few years ago.

My wife's bravery is related to what others are doing and suspect its the same with others, so you have to find a 'critical mass', hence why the easiest thing this year was getting her bare assed. Good luck!

It's maybe an optimistic view, but here's a typical sight. We saw quite a few people wearing bikinis as extreme as this. This was on beaches where there were others topless. So my hope is that these ladies, who clearly have a lot of confidence, like exposing as much skin as possible, but maybe are from a generation where they're just not used to topless, start going a step further now they've gone as far as they can in the bottoms.

Imagine 20 years ago this girl on a beach holiday with her friends. All strip off to just their normal bikini bottoms then she says 'actually I'm keeping my top on as I'm embarrassed about you seeing my boobs, but feel free to check out my entire ass and clear outline of my camel toe which, as you can make out, is fully shaved'.

We had a good experience with Hotel Gloria Palace San Agustin about a decade ago. Usually there were a few topless women on the top ring, but sometimes my ex-girlfriend was the only one topless. We even saw a girl in her mid twenties with massive tits swimming topless in the big swimming pool. Unfortunately we only saw her once and even more unfortunate: I couldn't convince my girlfriend to go for a topless swim.
