Asia Therme in Kleinenbroich, 25min from Düsseldorf central station with the S8 line of the S-Bahn.

I haven’t been there in some years. It doesn’t have a textile section, the whole place is nude but a robe is required for the restaurant (as usual). The locker room is mixed. It has a wide choice of indoor and outdoor saunas and pools. If you go on a Sunday afternoon, or in the evening during the week, you’re likely to get a good mix of guests.

Please note that they don’t seem to accept credit cards, only German debit cards or cash.

Well, I guess names are taboo, but experiences and descriptions are not.

In Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Flanders, places that are essentially saunas/wellness, ie not attached to a large textile complex, tend to have mixed changing rooms, but there are exceptions.

I don’t know about “walking around” naked there. People normally take off their clothes, are briefly naked, and then they put on a robe or a towell. Some women prefer to strip to their underwear, put on a robe, and then remove their underwear. That makes little sense to me since they will be naked in the saunas and pools, but I have often seen women doing that.

Usually people just change and stay in one place. Although I have seen woman brushing their hair and applying lotion infront of the mirror completly naked walking back and forth to their locker.

The dressing room is usually a small intimate space so great if you have exhibitionistic tendencies.

I have not seen any entries discussing spas/saunas in Portugal. Does anyone know if hotel spas/saunas in that country are swimsuit required, topless required, or clothing optional? If you have specifics, I would love some hotel recommendations in Porto, and in the Algarve that requires my wife to be at least topless, ideally nude (like Germany for example) when using the wellness facilities.

My wife is shy and modest, but I have found that she will "do as the Romans do" and go nude in places where that is a requirement. For that reason, I try to plan our holidays in countries/areas where nude bathing is a requirement.
