Yes, I remember Kim Thomson in a lot of things since she came to fame in PD James' Cover Her Face in 1985. Remarkably this was her only ever nude scene, but at least she did bare all, unlike some actresses who never appeared nude on screen.

Indeed, there are some actresses who you never imagine have appeared nude, and this is the case with the first of two videos from a murder mystery I'd never heard of called Murder in Eden from 1991. The actress in this first video, Tara MacGowran, I'd only ever seen in Miss Marple's The Murder at the Vicarage (1986, TV), where she played Colonel Protheroe's daughter Lettuce. I couldn't of imagined her appearing nude, but she did just that 5 years later in this murder mystery, and showing off a great figure on her too! Coincidentally, she started out as a child actress in Children of the New Forest (1977), and is still acting now. She wasn't the only actress to appear nude in this mystery, but I shall get to her in the next video post.

On a side note, a few of you may of noticed that I haven't been on here for a while. I have been scaling back my time over the last couple of years due to personal bereavements, and after some consideration I have decided to wind down from here by the end of February. Don't worry, I shall leave my profile up here so that my posts and albums can still be enjoyed by members, but I found after resting over Xmas that I didn't have the same energy I had for the site. I've enjoyed my time on here - who knows, I may look in once in a blue moon - but for me it's time to call it a day. But until then, just enjoy the videos!

The 2nd actress to strip off in the TV mystery Murder in Eden (1991) is the actress Tina Kellegher, who came to fame playing Niamh Quigley in TV series Ballykissangel (1996-2000). This mystery was her acting screen debut, and for her 1st role she had to bare her breasts. Even more intriguingly, her screen love interest in Murder in Eden is Tony Doyle, who later played her father in Ballykissangel! That's some dubious casting! It's not the only time she has appeared topless either, as she also bared her breasts in gloomy TV series The Hanging Gale in 1995, a year before she found fame in Ballykissangel - proof if ever was needed that to make it big in acting, girls, you've got to bare more than just your soul!

This is another trip into the TV archives, and another rare clip involving actress Charon Bourke, who is now probably best remembered as the miserable daughter from Inspector Wexford from 1988 to 2000. She made her screen debut in Leonard Rossiter's last TV appearance in the sitcom Tripper's Day in 1984, and was still early into her career when she then appeared in this drama from an anthology series called Summer Season in 1985. The episode itself was called Glamour Night, and involved Charon as an amateur model who was called in to pose for a group of photographers, including Philip Jackson (Inspector Japp from Poirot), Reece Dinsdale and Rodney Bewes (The Likely Lads).

And they prove quite the likely lads here, as unbeknownst to her they plan to get her nude, and over the course of this clip they cajole and coerce her into removing her clothes as she becomes more and more unsure. "I wouldn't ask you to do this if I didn't think you could handle it," says Jackson, who does a great sleazy patter and actually suits a moustache. When she realizes they want her to go topless, she asks "They are not for publication or anything, are they?" But of course they want more, and as it progresses she gets angry and eventually strips completely naked to shock them as she asks who is going to be the first to give her a 'crotch shot.' Embarrassed, the photographers go, leaving Charon to get dressed.

The video itself was found online, and seems to of been someone's old recording, as it plays up a couple of times, but it still plays fine. I have also added a zoomed clip of the frontal scene at the end, though the quality isn't so great. However, it's still a rare TV recording, and as for Charon this was her only nude scene in her career before finding fame in Inspector Wexford in 1988. Well, as they say with fame, you've got to start somewhere, and it might as well be in stuff like this!
