The Thank You Thing
I'd like to think that some people are so turned on or spent from wanking away to your great vids they simply forget to hit the "thanks" button. However, there's the dark possibility that there is an over abundance of "intitled" assholes running loose in the world who never learned to give thanks to anyone for anything in his/her/their/they life. But I prefer to believe the former, because if it's the latter, humanity is doomed. I like your vids. Isn't that enough? Go by "views" and not "thanks" as a measure of appreciation and you'll feel better about posting.

Here's the thing: photos seem to get more thanks than videos (more people seeing the former for free being more inclined to thank than those who pay for the extras like videos? I dunno), and more people open than thank either sort of submission. I figure 10 views/ 1 thanks is an outstanding ratio, 20-30 to 1 pretty typical, and 50 to 1 is where it's starting to get annoying. With that said, however, the most-thanked post I ever had still was at a ratio of over 50/1, so it's got to be up to each of us when it's just not worth doing; if you think those ratios are bad, plenty of times I've had links as in Free Sites with several hundred downloads to each thanks. Now that makes me less than best pleased, even after deciding some time ago I wouldn't care about any of that stuff any more!
